TTIP Resolution adoptet in European Parliament: claim for protection of public services and exception clause for education

The European Parliament approved ist recommendations to European Commission Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiators by 436 votes to 241, with 32 abstentions. The European Office for Catholic Youth Work and Adult Education called that all education services financed by public and private means have to be excluded from TTIP.
A TTIP deal, once drawn up by EU-Commission and US negotiators, would need the backing of the European Parliament and the EU Council to enter into force.
